Southampton business coach launches new Speakers Community
Sarina Mann, from Southampton and founder of Breakthrough Public Speaking, has launched the Speakers Community, an online platform designed to help individuals and business owners improve their public speaking and on-camera communication.
Based at the Old Bond Store, Sarina has developed a five-point framework known as ‘Speaker Assets,’ which she believes are critical tools for business growth.
She said: “The Speakers Community is something entirely new because it’s based around the concept of five ‘Speaker Assets,’ a concept I created myself.
“In my opinion, if you run a business, then you need these Speaker Assets to grow and scale.”
The five assets in the programme include a keynote speech, elevator pitch, webinar presentation, video content, and training course delivery.
Each element is designed to help business owners communicate effectively in different formats, both in-person and online.
Sarina, who was crowned Toastmasters’ impromptu public speaking champion in 2023, said she sees communication as a “neglected area” of professional development and believes anyone can master it with the right support.
She said: “I grew up with anxiety and stage fright, but it slowly dawned on me after joining Toastmasters that public speaking is a learned skill that anyone can work at and develop.
“This year I set up as a professional keynote speaker – my focus is communication because I think it’s a neglected area of our lives.
“I believe people can reach success more easily with improved communication skills.
“I also believe it’s not about having a natural skill – these are all skills that can be learned by anyone.”
The Speakers Community is open to members worldwide and provides structured guidance, practical resources, and a supportive network for ongoing development.
Sarina said the programme is particularly relevant in today’s competitive business landscape, where visibility and effective communication are essential.
She said she hopes her new platform will give business owners the tools and confidence to speak with impact, whether in the boardroom, on stage, or in front of a camera.
