Changwon-si Saemaeul Leaders Hold Workshop to Strengthen Communication Skills and Leadership

Training Saemaeul Leaders to Lead the Next 50 Years
On the 28th at 1 PM, the Changwon City Saemaul Association in Gyeongnam held the ‘Eup, Myeon, Dong Saemaul Leaders Core Leader Workshop’ at the Masanhappo-gu International Lions Hall to strengthen the communication skills and leadership of Saemaul leaders.
The opening ceremony was attended by about 250 people, including Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Kim Igeun, Chairman of Changwon Special City Council, distinguished guests, and Saemaul leaders. Following this, the second part of the event included practical training for core Saemaul leaders of Eup, Myeon, and Dong, a special lecture by laughter therapist Ko Jongtae, and a communication session to foster harmony and friendship among Saemaul leaders.

Hong Panchul, Acting President of the Changwon City Saemaul Association, said, “For the Saemaul Movement, which has been promoted under the three virtues of diligence, self-help, and cooperation, to step forward globally again, it is important to strengthen the capabilities of frontline leaders and encourage active participation.”
In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Hong expressed gratitude for the dedication of Saemaul leaders who played a key role in Korea’s modernization and economic development, and said, “I ask Saemaul leaders to become reliable partners in the future 50 years of Changwon Special City, which will develop through a bold vision of change and innovation.”
The Changwon City Saemaul Association is actively carrying out various volunteer activities and community movements for regional development with the vision of “Saemaul Movement Again, Together with the World,” embracing the spirit of the times of sharing, consideration, and solidarity.
